Beyoncé Asks Fans to Submit Wedding Photos

Multiple Grammy Award winning artist Beyoncé has unveiled plans to make a new video for her single “Best Thing I Never Had” using wedding photos and videos provided by her fans.

The song is taken from her most recent album, “4″, that was released on June 27th – it has already made it to number one in the UK and US, as well as seven other countries.

The ex-Destiny’s Child singer has asked fans to send her video footage or photographs from their own weddings to be included in the new video, which will be released this September.  Those wishing to be involved are encouraged to upload their contributions to social media and content sites YouTube and Flickr and tag them with #BeyonceBestThing before 12th August.

The singer will then choose her favourites for use in the alternative video, which will be a companion piece to the one that has already been filmed, in which Beyoncé played a bride-to-be wearing lingerie before appearing in a stunning traditional wedding gown.

Details of the singers’ wedding to music producer and performer Jay-Z were kept top secret, but the bridal themed video provides fans with some idea of Beyoncé might have looked on her big day.

Jake Gyllenhaal Attends Father’s Wedding

A shaven headed Jake Gyllenhaal served as groomsman at his director father’s recent intimate beach wedding to Kathleen Man on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii.

The bride, who is also a film maker, wore a traditional white linen dress to tie the knot with Jake’s father Stephen Gyllenhaal.

Jake chose a casual look with khaki trousers and a brown shirt for the informal ceremony. It was attended by about 30 guests, who kept with the island theme by wearing traditional Hawaiian wreaths, known as Leis, which are worn as a symbol of affection, love or friendship.

Also in attendance was Jake’s actress sister Maggie Gyllenhaal, who wore a long floral dress to witness her father tying the knot.

The Hawaii location was of special significance to the bride, who had attended the Punahou School there and is a native of the island.

Stephen had separated from Jake’s mother and wife of 32 years Naomi Foner, who also works in the film industry, in 2009. He is best known for directing the Emmy nominated “Paris Trout”, which starred Dennis Hopper, Barbara Hershey and Ed Harris.

Lhuillier Wedding Gown for Korean Celebrity

Korean actress and singer Kim Yoo Jin, known as Eugene, added a touch of Hollywood class to her recent wedding with a dress designed by none other than Monique Lhuillier.

Monique Lhuillier has earned the title of one of the most sought after designers in Hollywood, with her creations in high demand from such stars as Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Mandy Moore, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Reese Witherspoon.

The designer was herself born in the Philippines and her Los Angeles based fashion house currently produces a wide range of garments ranging from evening gowns and bridal wear to tableware and home fragrances.

According to Korean media, the dress for Eugene’s marriage to actor Ki Tae-Young took months to finish. The stunning creation was topped off with a well chosen beautiful tiara.

The couple, who met while they were both starring in the Korean drama “Creating Destiny” in 2009, surprised their fans in May of this year by announcing they would tie the knot.

The special day was attended by a number of celebrity friends, with many opting for more casual summer wear than the trappings of tradition due to the counties notoriously hot summer weather.

Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey Marry

Richard Branson’s private Necker Island in the Caribbean was the setting for celebrity couple Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo’s recent wedding.

Despite the tropical location, the pair chose a formal ceremony. Ms Minnillo commented: “I wanted to be in that long traditional wedding gown with heels and I wanted my groom in a tux and shoes… There was just something so timeless, beautiful and romantic about having that element of a traditional wedding.”

The bride wore a two piece Monique Lhuillier ensemble, complete with intricate lace corset that was finished by rose and crystal detailing and a signature hand tufted skirt made of silk faille.

She revealed that she asked her husband to be how he would like her on the day. “I thought I would get some generic guys’ answer but he sat up in bed and told me he loved me with my hair down and wanted me in something traditional but with a modern flair.”

The love struck groom has spoken of the unforgettable moment when he saw his bride walking down the aisle and how it took his breath away.  “It’s a moment you fantasize about, and I was certainly not disappointed.”

Ralph Lauren Unveils Daughter’s Wedding Dress

As the daughter of legendary designer Ralph Lauren, Dylan Lauren’s wedding gown has been the subject of much discussion – the anticipation has now ended as her dress has finally been revealed.

The high expectations were more than exceeded by the stunning handmade duchesse satin, silk tulle, georgette embroidered dress with a tiered train that Dylan Lauren wore on her wedding to hedge fund manager Paul Arrouet.

The gown was created in consultation with Ralph Lauren’s former protégée and Grande Dame of bridal wear Vera Wang. It was kept under close guard at Ralph Lauren’s New York premises prior to the wedding.

Speaking on the Oprah Winfrey show recently, Mr Lauren admitted that the gown’s creation was an emotional experience, saying “I had to do something that was better than ever before. When you do something for your family or your daughter, I mean it’s the only daughter I have – beautiful girl.”

Speaking of the dress created for her by her father, Dylan commented: “It’s really beautiful. I know that every bit of his energy and heart went into making sure that I liked it.”

Other details have also been emerging about the wedding, including the bridesmaids’ dresses being designed in the colour of Dylan’s confectionery company.

Bond Actor Daniel Craig Tight Lipped About Private Wedding to Rachel Weisz

In characteristic fashion, privacy loving Bond actor Daniel Craig has given little away about his wedding to actress Rachel Weisz, following their whirlwind romance.

Directly contrasting most other celebrity ceremonies, there were only four guests attending the nuptials. These were Daniel’s 18 year old daughter, Rachel’s five year old son and two other adult family members who served as witnesses to the proceedings.

The secret ceremony has remained unreported for several days – Craig is reluctant to speak of the wedding, insisting that the day will remain private between him and his new bride.

All that he would say about the special day is: “I did it secretly, I can’t tell you how I pulled it off.  My private life is incredibly important to me, and certainly that aspect of it is more than incredibly important to me.”

What can be confirmed is that the ceremony took place in New York and that Weisz has since been pictured wearing a gold wedding band. No further details are likely to be spilled.

Kim Kardashian Prepares for Upcoming Wedding

With August 20th now set as the official date for Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries to tie the knot, the reality television star has turned to personal trainer Gunnar Peterson to ensure that she looks her best for the big day.

The famously curvy celebrity is currently working out twice a day, though her trainer denies that she is trying to slim down.

Peterson commented:  “She comes to my studio in LA three to five times a week, for an hour at a time… I always work towards a higher level of fitness without compromising the aesthetic… Her shape is her! Why mess with female perfection?!”

He outlined her new fitness regime, saying: “I vary between the upper and lower body, whilst also working out the core… We do a five to ten minute warm up so that Kim is fully engaged in the studio. Then, I devise a series of ‘exercise pods’, mixed in with things like running, rowing or cycling.”

In addition to getting in shape for her wedding day, Kardashian has already booked two appointments with Vera Wang, prompting speculation that the famed designer will create her wedding dress.

New Wedding Bell Rumours for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie

Fresh reports have emerged that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are planning to wed later this year.

Sources indicate that a ceremony could take place in the 16th century chapel on the couple’s chateau in Correns, France. They say it will be a small, intimate affair with a handful of family and close friends.

This couldn’t be further away from Pitt’s £600,000 ceremony with previous partner Jennifer Aniston, held in Malibu, California in 2000 and attended by a range of celebrity guests.

Earlier this year, Pitt mentioned that the couple’s children have asked about marriage, saying: “It’s meaning more and more to them. So it’s something we’ve got to look at.”

Celeb watchers say this comment adds weight to the credibility of the rumours.

The couple had also previously stated that they wouldn’t consider tying the knot until gay marriage was legalised across America, but following a recent change in the law allowing gay couples to marry in New York, Pitt hinted that a wedding was something that could now be considered.

Zara Phillips Wedding Gown Designer Revealed

Fresh rumours claim that royal Zara Phillips has chosen to have her wedding gown made by the Queen’s favourite couturier, Stewart Parvin.

The news ends weeks of speculation on the subject – up until now, Paul Costelloe was said to be the preferred choice to create Ms Phillips’ dress for her Edinburgh wedding. He has designed garments for her in the past, such as the outfit she wore to Prince William and Kate’s wedding.

An insider has said that the royal horse riding enthusiast is keen to avoid the same traditional lace and satin style that Kate Middleton wore on her wedding day: “Zara doesn’t want a high-fashion dress similar to Kate Middleton’s Sarah Burton design… But Stewart is the youngest Royal couturier, so the dress will still be modern and chic.”

Mr Parvin’s designs are already a favourite of both The Queen and Zara’s mother, Princess Anne. A fashion source said: “They wear his ensembles for Ascot and the Queen wore a white Stewart Parvin dress for Barack Obama’s state visit.”

The bridge-to-be is to marry her long-term partner Mike Tindall in a ceremony at Edinburgh’s Canongate Kirk on July 30, followed by a reception at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

Sumptuous Indian Wedding Showcase Due in UK

Called The Ardhanginni, the UK’s first Indian wedding, destination and lifestyle show is to make its debut at Olympia 2 in Kensington Square Gardens, from July 15 to 17.

The showcase will present a handpicked range of the finest and most tailored services to be found on the Indian wedding market. It will feature high-end fashion, lifestyle and bridal exhibitions to those who want to celebrate their special day in the colourfully sumptuous style that is the typically Indian wedding.

The exhibition is designed to be the epitome of a fairy-tale romance for all people, regardless of their nationality or cultural background. It supports the fact that Indian wedding themes have increasingly been made popular by celebrity couples such as Russell Brand and Katy Perry.

The event was conceptualised by Cicilia Raj. She commented: “Indian weddings as we know is a unique experience, these occasions are getting grandeur and pompous with a great blend of the Indian and Western styles of celebrations… With emerging trend of non-resident Indians getting married in destinations like Rajasthan, Goa or the lovely beaches in Kerala, the wedding industry in India is rapidly growing at the rate of 9 per cent, and is increasing in its size and splendour.”
