Singer CoCo Lee Marries in Style

Popular Taiwan singer married her fiancé, wealthy Canadian Bruce Rockowitz, in lavish style last week.

The traditional Jewish wedding ceremony was held at a luxurious hotel this past Thursday, followed by a further opulent wedding celebration on the Friday at Shaw Studios in Hong Kong.

The 36-year-old singer’s nuptials included star performers taking the stage such as the Black Eyed Peas, the Marianne Bennett Band, Bruno Mars and even Lee herself.

The stage at Shaw Studios was professionally decorated and lit; it also featured a revolving sculpture of Lee and her 53-year-old husband’s initials “CB” as the centrepiece. Apparently it took 450 people seven days to set up the opulent party venue.

Of some 400 guests, celebrities in attendance included Tommy Hilfiger, Elva Hsiao, Jaycee Chan and Bowie Tsang.

Speaking to reporters after her wedding celebrations, Lee, who had been dating Rockowitz since 2003, said she is in “no hurry” to have children and confirmed that she would continue her singing career as she is happiest on stage.

Details Revealed About Robin Williams Wedding

Details have now been spilled about famous comedian Robin Williams’s weekend wedding to graphic designer Susan Schneider.

It was glorious weather as the couple exchanged vows in a non-denominational ceremony last Saturday afternoon at Meadowland Resort in California’s beautiful Napa Valley.

The 130 guests included celebrity friends Billy Crystal and George Lucas. A source who attended the special day commented: “It was a very intimate gathering of people who have worked with him, who know him really well, and her close friends and family. It was very relaxed and truly a joyful celebration. It just felt good to be there.”

The bride was walked down the aisle by her father. She wore a strapless ivory and blush-colour wedding dress with a train, while the groom wore a tuxedo.

During the 25-minute ceremony, the couple recited vows they had written themselves.

It was followed by a sit-down dinner and dancing, with music supplied by the husband-and-wife DJ duo of San Francisco called Denon and Doyle.

This is the third marriage for Williams, now 60. Following the celebrations, he and his new wife jetted off to Paris for a romantic honeymoon.

Vera Wang Shocks with Dark Bridal Gowns

Prestigious designer Vera Wang shocked even the fashionista’s with the exhibition of her Fall 2012 Collection of bridal gowns at New York’s bridal fashion week.

The Queen of wedding couture has introduced a range of gowns in her signature colour – black. While initially there were looks of disbelief at the initial black and beige wedding dress that appeared decidedly like something out of the Adam’s Family as it hit the runway, Wang’s genius for bridal design won through as the collection unfolded.

The audience quickly recovered and became increasingly appreciative of the beautiful and unforgettable bridal dresses.

Many style guru’s have said that Wang’s revolutionary collection is also a sign of the modern times – the blushing brides of traditional weddings are giving way to marriages which increasingly feature gay couples or women who are more mature and successful in their own right. People are increasingly looking to make new rules to suit their individual tastes.

This opens the doors to new cutting-edge traditions using non-white wedding gowns. And if Vera Wang’s collection proves successful, other designers will surely be jumping on the bandwagon to start a whole new trend.

Beach Weddings Now Available in Bournemouth

Following being granted council permission to conduct weddings on the beach, the seaside resort of Bournemouth in Dorset is taking their first bookings at a specially made chapel.

Now that the official paperwork has been completed, the Beach Chapel will be open for weddings between April and October.

The Bournemouth Beach Chapel is the first in the UK to be able to offer couples the opportunity to have a legally binding marriage ceremony on the beach. It is hoped they will be able to lure couples to celebrate their nuptials locally rather than flying off to sunny destinations such as the Caribbean, Maldives and Europe.

In order to comply with UK law, a marriage ceremony must be conducted in a “permanent covered building”. This caused a debate over whether or not the beach chapel met these guidelines and delayed its approval.

Nevertheless, the official green light has finally been achieved. Packages start from as little as £999, making a Bournemouth beach wedding substantially more affordable than a beach wedding abroad, not to mention the cost of having to fly guests to a chose resort.

Nikki Reed Marries in Dazzling Diamonds

Twilight actress Nikki Reed, who married her fiancé Paul McDonald earlier this week, wore a magical wedding dress studded with no less than one hundred diamond buttons.

The 23-year-old celebrity has spoken of her delight with the ivory white, body-hugging gown. She collaborated with respected bridal jewellery brand Tacori, which not only crafted the bridal dress, but also created the engagement and wedding bands for the couple.

Michelle Adorjan, designer at Tacori, commented on the spectacular gown: “It was a 40′s classic glamour silhouette. It flows back into a 72-inch train, about six feet. It’s extremely simple. Instead of a traditional, silk wrap button, we did diamond buttons. A little over 100 carats just on the buttons.”

Nikki and Paul tied the knot at a private ranch in Malibu, California. They had only been dating for two months, but have been seen to be very much in love when out in public.

Reed said the following about her special day: “We couldn’t be happier. We were surrounded by our family and friends. We’re so glad this day has come.”

Shannen Doherty Dons Three Bridal Gowns

Former 90210 star Shannen Doherty caused a stir at her marriage ceremony to boyfriend Kurt Iswarienko on Saturday by wearing no less than three wedding gowns.

The couple wed at a friend’s beautiful Malibu residence. Doherty’s nuptials will be part of her upcoming WE reality show called ‘Shannen Says’, which premiers in 2012.

The actress wore a gorgeous gown for her walk down the aisle. In a post-wedding interview with Us on Sunday, she said: “I felt great… My dress [was] stunning… There was no question. The moment I saw it, I knew it was my dress! I felt like a fairytale princess.”

Shannen further explained that she first spotted the gown online and then went to see it in person at Lhuillier’s boutique in LA.

Famous designer Lhuillier’s iconic gowns have previously been worn by such celebrity brides as Reese Witherspoon, Alicia Silverstone, Vanessa Minnillo, Carrie Underwood, Ashlee Simpson, Jewel, Pink, and many more.

Not satisfied with just one unforgettable gown, Doherty changed into a second Lhullier creation which she described as “blush with lots and lots of tulle.”

For the reception, she made a third dress change into a tight-fitting, knee-length number with a slit up the side – Shannen called it “my get-down and be-sexy bridal dress.”

Bhutan’s “Dragon King” Weds

Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, the American and British educated monarch of Bhutan, has married his long term girlfriend Jetsun Pema.

The small private ceremony, held in an ancient monastic fortress, presented a mix of Buddhist spirituality with Bhutan traditions.

The 31 year old king is immensely popular in his kingdom and is famously a fan of Elvis Presley as well as basketball.

His beautiful 21 year old bride, looked slightly nervous throughout the ceremony, but with the placing of an embroidered silk brocade crown on her head she was made Queen.

When the ceremony was complete, the king took time to tell a group of reporters of his happiness at the special occasion: “I have been waiting for quite some time to get married. But it doesn’t matter when you get married as long as it is to the right person. I am certain I am married to the right person.”

The bride is a member of a family whom the Bhutan Royals had well known for a long period of time. Friends have spoken of the genuine love between the couple, who had been living together for eight months previous to the wedding.

McCartney Ties the Knot

A registry office in London’s Marylebone that had once served as the venue for former Beatle Paul McCartney’s marriage to his first wife Linda 42 years ago, held host to a small civil service on Sunday for his wedding to American-born Nancy Shevall.

The date chosen for the wedding coincides with what would have been the 71st birthday of John Lennon, lending a poignant air to the proceedings.

Paul’s brother Mike served as best man and guests included fellow Beatle Ringo Starr. This time, as opposed to his second marriage, McCartney’s family come out in support of the union.

Following the service, a small reception was held in the back garden of Sir Paul’s house in St John’s Wood, which is situated nearby the famous Abbey Road studios where the majority of the Beatles songs were recorded.

A friend of the iconic musician commented on the proceedings: “The wedding is in keeping with the way Paul and Nancy have conducted their entire relationship – low-key, understated and fuelled by goodwill. Neither of them wanted a huge fuss.”

Nikki Reed Announces Wedding Plans

Twilight star Nikki Reed has announced plans are underway to marry her former American Idol contestant Paul McDonald.

The official wedding date and location have not as yet been revealed, but the couple are expected to tie the knot soon.

Ms Reed has however confirmed that the location has been secured, and that she has already chosen her maid of honour – long time friend and actress , who starred in the movie called Spy Kids.

Nikki has also revealed that she has picked her wedding dress for the special day, but is refusing to share further details with the public or even her fiancée as she does not want to spoil the surprise.

Nevertheless, it is predicted that she will opt for a romantically soft and pale colour scheme for her gown.

The couple have said that they’re both taking a great interest in the planning of the nuptials and are thoroughly enjoying it. This makes a nice break from tradition where the bride mostly takes responsibility for the multitude of tasks to be completed before the big day.
