Bride Realises Wedding Dress Has Been Missing for 25 Years

Kathleen Rinaldi, due to celebrate her 25th wedding anniversary this September, was shocked to open the sealed box which she thought contained her wedding dress, only to realise that the gown inside was not hers.

Mrs Rinaldi had planned to alter her wedding dress to create a new outfit for her vow renewal ceremony.  The mix up was spotted when she asked her daughter Angelina to try on the garment and realised that something was amiss as she zipped up the back.

She commented: “My dress did not zip up, it had buttons. I ran and got the wedding album and saw that the dress looked nothing like mine except that it had a v-neck front… I was so heartbroken when I pulled out the dress and realised they had given me the wrong one”.

25 years ago, Ms Rinaldi’s sister-in-law had taken the dress to a cleaner to have it sealed, which is when the mix up is likely to have occurred.

Kathleen Rinaldi is married to Robert Rinaldi, owner of Rinaldi’s Italian Specialties in Longmeadow. She hopes to return the gown to its original owner.

Secret Backup Wedding Dress of Lady Diana

Princess Diana’s wedding dress has been one of the most talked about gowns in the world and is rated by many as the most beautiful celebrity marriage design of all time, but it has now been revealed there was also a back-up gown.

People magazine has published a never before seen photo of the dress, which was intended to be on hand if the Princess of Wales’ first choice was leaked to the public before the famous wedding day on July 29, 1981.

It is an ivory silk taffeta gown, with the same ruffles around the neck as the original but without the signature lace. It was never completely finished and was never tried on by the Lady Diana.

Creator of both gowns, Elizabeth Emanuel of Elizabeth and David Emanuel designs, commented: “At the time we wanted to make absolutely sure that the dress was a surprise. Had the secret of the real dress got out it’s possible that Diana would have worn this one.”

Ms Emanuel has recently expressed her sympathies for the designer of Kate Middleton’s dress for her wedding to Diana’s eldest son, Prince William on April 29.

She said: “They’re keeping quiet on the designer this time, probably to avoid all the hassle that we had… It was really difficult and we didn’t have to contend with cameras in phones. How do you keep something secret like that?”

Kareena Kapoor Dazzles at Wedding Carnival

The 30 year old Bollywood actress paired her sari with a sequined mini halter blouse and accessorised with diamond jewels, chandelier earrings and a bracelet on her right arm.

She wore striking eye makeup, with thick eyeliner on her eyelids and pink sparkling eye shadow as well as lipstick. Her long dark brown hair was styled straight with a middle parting and a jewelled bindi rounded off her festive look.

In a press statement endorsing the festival, Ms Kapoor said: “Today’s Indian bride is showing an increasing preference for jewellery that integrates an international diamond look into traditional wedding jewellery designs.”

Reese Witherspoon Chooses Wedding Gown Designer

Actress Reese Witherspoon has announced the designer for her wedding dress – it will be custom made by Monique Lhuillier.

Ms Witherspoon has been engaged to CAA agent Jim Toth for three months. The special day is planned to be an intimate, low key occasion at her ranch in Ojai, California on March 26th.

Sources have confirmed the marriage will not be a huge Hollywood star-studded event – only close friends and family are expected to be invited, numbering slightly less than 100 guests. The small ceremony will be organised by Yifat Oren and the nuptials will be held in the early evening in one of the fields behind the house.

Speculation has already begun as to what type of Monique Lhuillier design Reese Witherspoon will choose. She is said to be shaping up for the big day with exercise and 75-minute sessions of Vinyasa yoga.

The couple began dating in January 2010 and announced their engagement in December. This will be the first marriage for 40-year-old Jim Toth, and second for Reese Witherspoon, who has two children with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.

Kate Moss Wedding Update: Designer for Her Bridal Gown Is Arrested In Paris

Reports earlier this week that Kate Moss was to design her own wedding dress have been updated to reveal that she has now chosen old friend and Dior designer John Galliano to create her bridal gown for the special occasion. Breaking news today however finds Mr Galliano arrested in Paris last night.

Instead of focussing on preparing his Autumn/Winter collections for Christian Dior and his own label during next week’s Paris Fashion Week, the 50-year-old Gibraltar-born fashionista John Galliano was charged and detained by Paris police for alleged assault and making anti-Semitic remarks. He is reported to have verbally accosted a couple seated on a cafe terrace.

A police source commented: “For the moment we don’t know what led him to address the couple. We don’t yet know if they knew each other or not.”

The police who took Mr Galliano into custody found he had been drinking alcohol. He has subsequently been released pending the filing of charges.

The prediction that Kate Moss would be designing her own wedding dress was started by Dame Vivienne Westwood at this year’s London Fashion Week. Kate set the record straight at the same event.

Model Kate Moss to Design Her Own Wedding Dress

Sources at the UK’s Daily Mail report that famous model Kate Moss is choosing to design her own wedding dress instead of employ a big name designer for her marriage to The Kills frontman Jamie Hince on the 2nd of July.

Iconic designer and long-time friend Vivienne Westwood confirmed during her Sunday fashion show that she had would not be creating Kate’s wedding dress: “No, I think she’s designing it herself… She has done her own fashion range and she knows about clothes. She knows what she is doing, she doesn’t need my help.”

Model-turned-designer Kate Moss has previously created a clothing line for UK retail giant Topshop (the collaboration ended last year), and designed purses for French accessory label Longchamp.

There has been no word as yet whether she will also design the bridesmaid dresses, although it has been reported that her eight-year-old daughter Lila (from a previous relationship to film editor Jefferson Hack) is set to be the chief bridesmaid.

Kate first met her husband-to-be Jamie in 2007.
